Purley Food Hub

As a member church of Purley and Kenley Churches Together, Montepelier is an active participant in the Purley Food Hub.

Please see here for the latest news.

Purley Food Hub is a foodbank set up by the Purley and Kenley Churches together, to help people in crisis in our community, because we believe its what Jesus calls us to do.

Where?

For food donations, there is a drop-box in the foyer at Montpelier - other places include:

The Foyer cafe at Christ Church Purley (861- 863 Brighton Road) - Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 12noon in school term time – that is until Wednesday 24th July and then after Tuesday 3rd September

Get Fired! (914 Brighton Road, Purley) – Monday – Saturday, 9am – 6pm (thank you so much, Lisa Downham!)

Purley Food Hub’s food distribution centre at Purley United Reformed Church, (906 Brighton Road, Purley) – Tuesday & Saturday, 10am – 12noon (except Tuesday 9th July: 7pm – 9pm)

What?

Due to the patterns of giving and consuming, the list of items often changes. Purley Food Hub is trying to give people what they need most as to just what has been collected. You can review the latest list of requested items by the Purley Food Hub on their website donations page.
